VAL-KILL CLASSICS

Each of the four pieces in this collection have been specifically commissioned by the Roosevelt Vanderbilt Historical Association (RVHA) in Hyde Park, New York.  Eleanor's workmen replicated these "American primitive" early 17th century designs based on examples in museums, and now, with the support of the RVHA, we are continuing to manufacture them today.  In honor of this affiliation, each piece will carry both the Val-kill and the RVHA marks, and more importantly, a portion of the profits from each sale will be sent to the RVHA to continue its work preserving the legacy of Eleanor Roosevelt. 

The largest concentrations of existing pieces available to the public today can be seen at either Eleanor Roosevelt's Val-Kill Estate at Hyde Park, New York, or at the little White House in Warm Springs, Georgia.  But by and large, they are extremely rare. 

These are not reproductions. They are new originals - manufactured with many of the same techniques and with the  same mission in mind - to provide meaningful employment to folks who might not otherwise be employed.
