Trestle Bench - the Original

$ 339.00

This product is unavailable

Clearly at home in the late 1600's in taverns and finer homes in the original 13 colonies, this iconic bench would have served many purposes. But like many other pieces from this period and also more and more from today's new more efficient living styles, we use them not only for sitting, but also as coffee tables and foot rests.

Our version of the bench is made from American maple, is finished with either an American Cherry or English Chestnut stain and measures 41X11X15.

Several copies of the original are currently housed at the Eleanor Roosevelt Estate at Hyde Park, NY.  Each of these RVHA commissioned pieces is marked with both the Val-Kill logo and the special Roosevelt Vanderbilt Historical Association (RVHA) logo.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these commissioned pieces will go directly to the Roosevelt Vanderbilt Historical Association (RVHA) to support Eleanor's legacy and to continue operation of her Val-Kill estate and education center in Hyde Park, NY.
